As part of the Veterans Administration Health Care System serving patients, VA211u001eRehabilitation Research and Development researchers are positioned uniquely to 211u001erespond to the needs of these veterans. We fund over 150 clinically important 211u001eresearch projects designed to elucidate the pathophysiology of impairment, create 211u001eaccessible environments, and improve the personal technologies used by persons 211u001ewith disabilities. Investigations have impact in myriad areas of disability 211u001emanagement including amputation prevention, joint replacement, and early 211u001edetection of hearing loss.
