This document presents the results of surface-water-quality data retrievals for211u001eFort Union Trading Post National Historic Site from six of the United States 211u001eEnvironmental Protection Agency's (EPA) national databases: (1) Storage and 211u001eRetrieval (STORET) water quality database management system; (2) River Reach File 211u001e(RF3); (3) Industrial Facilities Discharge (IFD); (4) Drinking Water Supplies 211u001e(DRINKS); (5) Flow Gages (GAGES); and (6) Water Impoundments (DAMS). The document 211u001eprovides: (1) a complete inventory of all retrieved water quality data, water 211u001equality stations, and the entities responsible for data collection; (2) 211u001edescriptive statistics and appropriate graphical plots of water quality data 211u001echaracterizing annual and seasonal central tendencies and trends; (3) a 211u001ecomparison of the park's water quality data to relevant EPA and Water Resources 211u001eDivision water quality screening criteria; and (4) an Inventory Data Evaluation 211u001eand Analysis to determine what NPS-75 'Level I' water quality parameters have 211u001ebeen collected in the park. Accompanying the report are disks containing digital 211u001ecopies of all data used in the report, as well as all components of the report 211u001e(tables, figures, etc.). Information suitable for import into a GIS is included. 211u001eThe results of the retrievals for the study area from the IFD, DRINKS, GAGES, and 211u001eDAMS databases located one industrial/municipal discharger, no drinking water 211u001eintakes, one active and one inactive (since 1975) U.S. Geological Survey stream 211u001egage, and no water impoundments. The results of the STORET retrieval for the 211u001estudy area yielded only 78 observations for 34 separate parameters collected by 211u001ethe EPA and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) at two 211u001emonitoring stations during 1974 and 1975.
