Rural and Non-Metropolitan Paratransit Coordination

The transportation facilities provided in six counties--Juab, Millard, Piute,211u001eSanpete, Servier, and Wayne--were studied for the Utah Department of 211u001eTransportation. The methodology adopted for conducting this study was to 211u001einterview people associated with providing transportation. Population 211u001echaracteristics were analyzed. Resources for transit service were studied. Other 211u001einputs for the study included demand estimation for transit, service and 211u001einstitutional alternatives, financial issues such as federal, state, and local 211u001efunding option. The feasibility study presents findings and recommendations after 211u001etaking the issues into consideration.
