The report presents results from the ground-water investigation at the Penn Mine211u001eby the U.S. Geological Survey from October 1991 to April 1995. The specific 211u001eobjectives of the investigation were to evaluate (1) the quantity and quality of 211u001eground water flowing toward Camanche Reservoir from the Penn Mine area; (2) the 211u001eground-water transport of metals, sulfate, and acidity between Mine Run and 211u001eCamanche Reservoirs; and (3) the hydrologic interactions between the flooded mine 211u001eworkings and other ground water and surface water in the vicinity.
