Geohydrology of the Unsaturated Zone and Simulated Time of Arrival of Landfill211 Leachate at the Water Table, Municipal Solid Waste Landfill Facility, U.S. Army 211 Air Defense Artillery Center and Fort Bliss, El Paso County, Texas

The U.S. Air Defense Artillery Center and Fort Bliss Municipal Solid Waste211u001eLandfill Facility (MSWLF) is located about 10 miles northeast of downtown El 211u001ePaso, Texas. The landfill is built on the Hueco Bolson, a deposit that yields 211u001ewater to five public-supply wells within 1.1 miles of the landfill boundary on 211u001eall sides. The Hydrologic Evaluation of Landfill Performance (HELP) and the 211u001eMultimedia Exposure Assessment Model for Evaluating the Land Disposal of Wastes 211u001e(MULTIMED) computer models were used to simulate the time of first arrival of 211u001elandfill leachate at the water table.
