Fatigue of Structures, Historical Developments and Contributions of Otto Buxbaum.

The International Committee on Aeronautical Fatigue owes Otto Buxbaum much appreciation for his various extensive contributions. Professor Buxbaum also contributed many papers to AGARD publications (Proceedings, Lecture Series and Reports) and to various international Journals, as well as well-known German Journals. As a result of his competence and experience, he was invited for lectures series, also by Universities abroad. He was honorary Professor at the Technical University in Munich. He also received several awards, and last year he became an honorary doctor of the Technical University in Dresden. His broad knowledge about fatigue on structures has been generally recognized.
