The hearing on Library and Information Services for Individuals with Disabilities211u001ewas held at the Gallaudet University, one of the nation's foremost educational 211u001efacilities for the deaf. The focus of this even goes far beyond individuals with 211u001ehearing disabilities. Individuals or their representatives presented testimony 211u001eregarding different types of disabilities. The Commission also heard from 211u001econcerned, dedicated individuals including educators, parents, library and 211u001einformation service professionals, representatives from national associations and 211u001eorganizations, and volunteers.
