The Questa project is an activity of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works and aims to develop a long term view on developments in society and their impacts on the traffic and transport system. Four scenarios are evaluated for a timescale up to 2030: Free State, Unrestricted, Polderland (consensus) and Quality of life. The factors that are developed are assumed to strongly influence the traffic and transport system, but can at the same time not be directly influenced by transport policies. For these 25 influential factors several indicators are provided by the Questa project. These indicators are linked by a software application with the Scenario Explorer. In this Questa module basic scenario's can be adjusted and enable the Scenario Explorer to estimate the consequences of these influential factors on passenger transport demand and supply. This report describes a study in which with the use of the Questa module and the Scenario Explorer transport figures are determined for the four Questa scenarios. These transport figures are also compared with the most recent CPB scenario's (Divided Europe, European Coordination and Global Competition).
