摘要

The paper discusses the impact of relative humidity (RH), air velocity, and211u001esurface growth on the emission rates of fungal spores from the surface of 211u001econtaminated material. Although the results show a complex interaction of 211u001efactors, the authors have determined, for this limited data set, that emission 211u001erates are inversely proportional to RH, but directly related to air flow rate and 211u001esurface loading. (NOTE: Although a significant amount of work has been done to 211u001eelucidate the conditions under which fungi will grow on the surfaces of 211u001ematerials, little information is available that quantitatively relates surface 211u001econcentrations to airborne concentration and, ultimately, exposure.)
