Final Report to US Fish and Wildlife Service for Implementation of Shasta River211 Fisheries Habitat Restoration Projects. Shasta River Reparian Fencing Project

A total of 6,950 feet of livestock control fencing were placed during this211u001eproject to protect the riparian areas of the Little Shasta River. A total of 211u001e1,300 feet of livestock control fence were place along the mainstem Shasta River 211u001eand 4,000 feet of livestock control fencing was placed along Oregon Slough, also 211u001ea tributary to the Shasta River. The importance of these projects to the Shasta 211u001eRiver Watershed Group can not be overstated. With the assistance of J. Ayn Perry 211u001eof the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service the Shasta River CRMP 211u001ecompleted the first projects on the Little Shasta and has now moving forward from 211u001ethe headwaters to protection of a majority of that stream.
