This report responds to your request that we update the analyses presented in our211u001eJuly 1998 report of (1) trends in the size of inventories and the age of cases in 211u001einventory at various stages of the EEO complaint process, (2) trends in the 211u001enumber of complaints filed by federal employees and the time taken by agencies 211u001eand EEOC to process them, and (3) implications of these trends and how future 211u001ecaseloads may be affected by EEOCs regulatory changes to the complaint process.
