Failure management in safety critical processes is an important research issue.211u001eComputerized decision support systems based on various methodologies can be 211u001eremarkably helpful. The research subject is divided into two sub-areas according 211u001eto two types of applications: decision support in the control room and decision 211u001esupport in maintenance. The problems of the two areas are different, therefore a 211u001eslightly different decision support is proposed for each of them.
