The white hake, Urophycis enuis, is an eurythermal and eurybathic fish that211u001einhabits the continental shelf and slope; juveniles occur in estuaries and 211u001enearshore waters. White hake are caught incidentally and by directed operations 211u001efor demersal species in mixed groundfish fisheries. White hake is managed by the 211u001eNew England Fishery Management Council (NEFMC) under the Multispecies Fishery 211u001eManagement Plan (NEFMC 1993).
