The Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Bureau of Environmental Health (MDPH/BEH), under a cooperative agreement with the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), assesses the presence and nature of health hazards at sites proposed to the National Priorities List (NPL). MDPH/BEH initiated this health consultation in response to the Walton and Lonsbury site in Attleboro, Massachusetts being proposed to the NPL. The purpose of this evaluation is to address community concerns related to environmental contaminants in the indoor air of nearby residences and the potential for health effects.
