This is the 1999-2000 Annual Bulletin of the Judge Advocate General's School, United States Army. It contains the Commandant's annual report, the resident course catalog and schedule of courses, the nonresident course catalog, and information about the School and its academic programs. The primary mission of the School is, and always will be, to provide the highest quality legal instruction to meet the professional development and continuing legal education needs of the Army Lawyer, whether Active or Reserve Component. The Judge Advocate General's School teaches the fundamentals of military law to attorneys newly commissioned as judge advocates and provides graduate legal education to career military officers. Numerous continuing legal education (CLE) courses and seminars, lasting from two days to three weeks, are presented annually. More than 3,000 attorneys and nearly 600 non-attorneys attend resident courses during the year. The School also administers an extensive correspondence course CLE program, offering correspondence course studies to approximately 1,500 students annually.
