Effects of Alternative Missouri River Management Plans on Ground-Water Levels in the Lower Missouri River Flood Plain.

摘要

Objectives of this study were to compare simulated ground-water altitude and depth to ground water for the Current Water Control Plan (CWCP) in the lower Missouri River flood plain near the Kansas City area between 1970 and 1980 with each river management plan proposed by the USACE, determine the average change in simulated ground-water level for selected river-stage flood pulses at selected distances from the river, and compare simulated flood-pulse, ground-water responses measured in wells located at three sites along the lower Missouri River flood plain.
