摘要

Pressure sensitive sea mines react on the depression generated by a passing vessel. To design trigger criterions for a sea mine it's important to be able to calculate how the depression depends on the vessel hull and speed and the sea depth. In this report we present a boundary integral method to calculate the pressure-and-velocity field around a vessel advancing on calm open water. The method utilizes the linearized free-surface Green's function which assumes the flow in incompressible and irrotational. This assumption should be valid for a underwater vehicle at slow speed. To illustrate the method we present calculations on the pressure field and wave pattern for a sphere advancing just below the water surface.
