The introduction to a piece of mathematics ought to be readable by an informedgraduate student. The introduction should tell the graduate student, among other things, what preliminaries are assumed. The author therefore begins by saying something about the prerequisites for the article. In this article, the author assumes the reader knows about triangulated categories, knows about t-structures in triangulated categories, knows about models for triangulated categories, and knows a little about simplicial sets. But what the author wants to stress here is that the required knowledge is very minimal. Chapter 1 provides quite enough background on triangulated categories and their t-structures. Section 1 has ample information about models for triangulated categories.
