摘要

Razorback sucker (Xyrauchen texanus), is one of two federally-listed endangeredfishes found in the San Juan River basin (Colorado pikeminnow, Ptychocheilus lucius being the other). Paucity of collections of wild fish of this species in the late 1980's and early 1990's led to the initiation of an experimental stocking program for this species in 1994. A total of 939 razorback sucker were stocked into the San Juan River as part of that study. At its inception, the objectives of the five-year augmentation plan for razorback sucker in the San Juan River were as follows: (1) Determine habitat use and needs, site preference, and movement patterns of hatchery-reared razorback sucker in the wild. (2)
