Biological Opinion: Austin Junction - Baker County Line Section, US Highway 26,Grant County

On March 9, 2000, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) received aBiological Assessment (BA) and request from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for Endangered Species Act (ESA) section 7 formal consultation for a road modernization project on US-26 from Austin Junction (MP 190.76) to the Baker County Line (MP 200.3) in Grant County, Oregon. The FHWA/ODOT has determined that the Middle Columbia River (MCR) steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss) may occur within the project area. This Opinion reflects the results of the consultation process.
