Neuse River Estuary Modeling and Monitoring Project Stage 1: An Examination ofLong Term Nutrient Data in the Neuse River Watershed

摘要

The nutrient loading patterns in the Neuse River, and estuarine nutrientconcentrations in the Neuse River estuary from 1970 to 1998 were investigated. The results established a historical context to help evaluate management options and also provide insights on the origin and behavior of nutrients in the watershed. This information will be useful to calibrate water quality models to establish the total maximum daily loads (TMDLs), particularly in the quantification of model prediction uncertainty.
