Helping Small Business Succeed. SBA Fiscal Year 2000 Annual Performance Plan

This document outlines where we are, where we want to go as we enter a newcentury, and how we plan to get there. As SBA Administrator, my primary goal is to help small businesses succeed in the 21 st Century: first, by reaching out to New Markets and new customers who need our help the most, and second, by reinventing and modernizing the Agency. This Performance Plan addresses my five strategic goals for the Agency through the year 2002 and summarizes what we plan to do in FY 2000 in two strategic areas: Outreach to New Markets and SBA Modernization and Reinvention. The former concerns our customers, products and services, while the second deals with how SBA organizes its people, processes, and performance to become a world class, leading-edge, 21 st century institution that gives small businesses what they need in a cost effective manner.
