摘要

On July 13, 2012, Justin Slaby, a telecommunications specialist with the Critical Incident Response Group's Hostage Rescue Team at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), filed a disability discrimination complaint against Attorney General Eric Holder. The complaint alleged that the FBI refused to consider reasonable accommodations such as the use of a prosthesis for Slaby, an Army veteran who lost his left hand when a grenade prematurely detonated, and wrongly disqualified him as a New Agent Trainee at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. In May 2013, Slaby's attorney filed a pleading in the litigation and subsequently submitted a complaint to the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) alleging that Teresa Carlson, the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the FBI's Milwaukee Field Office, had tampered with a witness in a civil case and attempted to suborn perjury.
