This project consisted, in part, of a field study to collect samples from variouslocations throughout the treatment processes at two coagulation/filtration plants and one lime softening plant. These samples were analyzed and used to evaluate the effectiveness of conventional coagulation/filtration and lime softening processes to consistently reduce arsenic (As) in source water to low levels. This project also includes the collection of process residual samples that were used to determine the quantity and chemical characteristics of the residuals produced by these treatment processes. This report describes the design and operation of the three treatment plants and presents the results of the analyses of the water samples collected from the plants during one year of operation.
