Airport-Airspace Simulations for Capacity Evaluation

The TRB Committee on Airfield and Airspace Capacity and Delay sponsored this workshop. The primary objective was to provide a forum to demonstrate and discuss airspace and airfield capacity evaluation studies and present state-of-the-art airport-airspace simulation models. Presentations of recent applications were made, and their findings discussed. The workshop was designed to improve the understanding of airport capacity evaluation and elaborate on technical details and requirements of the analysis involved in these studies. The advantages of simulations to provide realistic and dynamic evaluation of the complex interactions of the system were highlighted and discussed.
