摘要

The Missouri Ozark Forest Ecosystem Project (MOFEP) is a century-long scientific experiment designed to examine the large-scale effects of forest management practices on multiple ecosystem components of southern Missouri's oak-hickory-pine (Quercus sp.-Carya sp.-Pinus echinata) forest. As part of MOFEP, the authors conducted a capture-recapture study on northeast-facing slopes to determine the initial large-scale effects of even- and uneven-aged forest management as compared to no harvest management on species composition, species richness, and relative abundance of small mammal communities.
