Methods for Effective Dose Equivalent Calculation.

Although effective dose equivalent is a regulatory quantity that cannot bedirectly measured, it can be calculated via several methods. Monte Carlo calculations based on pre-calculated fluence-to-dose conversion factors, energy deposition, and conversion factors in conjunction with deep dose equivalent are presented. A specific exposure scenario for the three methods of calculation highlights the variability in determining dose quantities.
