Quality Research for Quality Health Care: A Report from AHRQ on Recent Activities and Future Directions

This report presents information on the programs and activities undertaken by AHRQ in fiscal years 1999-2000 and provides some examples of accomplishments during that time. It also includes some of the research priorities that AHRQ will pursue in the coming months. To set the stage for this discussion, the report presents the organizational structure of the Agency and key responsibilities of its functional components, describes the Agencys National Advisory Council for Health Care Policy, Research, and Evaluation, and identifies the various audiences and customers who use the findings from Agency-supported research.
