The Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of the Inspector General, Audit Division, has completed an audit of the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) Security Support Grant awarded to the City of Tampa, Florida, for the 2012 Republican National Convention. The grant was made through the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), which is a component of OJP. The BJA awarded the city $49,850,000 to provide security to delegates, visitors, and residents during the convention held August 27-30, 2012.
