Women of Color Health Data Book: Adolescents to Seniors

The document marks a noteworthy milestone in our Nation's recognition of the importance of women's health and, more specifically, the role of culture, ethnicity, race, socioeconomic background, geographic location, and other social and economic factors as important contributors to health status. After too many years of viewing health in isolation, we have begun to study and under-stand women's health as a reflection of the myriad of elements that contribute to the overall quality of women's lives in the United States today. This report also marks the culmination of many years of effort by individuals and organizations both within and outside the Federal government to address the health of minority women.
