This preliminary work was done to design a study to test the Dynamic Model ofMental Health Problems. The purpose was to determine methods to employ to test this model. Methods: This study recruited 80 primary care patients, employed three different methods for six monthly interviews, and conducted qualitative interviews on 16 patients.
