Adult Global Quality Assessment Tool.

摘要

Recognizing the limits of existing methods for evaluating quality, the authors developed a more comprehensive, clinically-detailed system of quality assessment for adults-the Quality Assessment Tools system, or QA Tools. The authors selected 25 chronic and acute conditions common to adults, reviewed the literature, developed draft indicators, selected three expert panels (nine members each) to refine and finalize the indicators using the modified Delphi method, developed medical record abstraction software to facilitate the collection of data from medical records, applied the method in two health plans, and analyzed the data. At the time of this report the data analysis was continuing so only preliminary results are presented and no overall findings are discussed.
