Office of Research Integrity Education Program: A Needs Assessment

This report presents an assessment of the educational needs of research institutions for training related to: the responsible conduct of research (RCR); and, the handling of allegations of scientific misconduct. This educational needs assessment was conducted for the Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Research Integrity (ORI). The report contains results from two focus groups and two surveys that were conducted to help identify the research integrity-related educational needs of institutions that receive Public Health Service grant funding for research activities. The findings from this needs assessment will assist ORI to identify, prioritize, and develop educational interventions designed to address the needs of the research community.
