Analysis of Medicare Beneficiary Knowledge Data Using the Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey (MCBS): Phase 3.1

This reports the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) continuing work to measure achievement of national Medicare Education Program goals (beneficiary access, awareness, understanding, and utilization of program information). Analyses of beneficiary behaviors before and after the Internet web site became available in 1998, after the toll free number became available nationwide in 1999, and after the first and second national distribution of the Medicare and You handbooks in 1999 and 2000 respectively, are reported.
