This final programmatic environmental impact statement (EIS) describes actions available to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) to suppress grasshopper and Mormon cricket populations that have reached a level of economic infestation on rangeland in the 17 Western States.1 This EIS examines the environmental effects of two suppression alternatives that use insecticides and a no action alternative.
