摘要

The Kansas Practice Research Network (KSPRN) is a rural practice-based network. It is a collaboration between the KU School of Medicine-Wichita (KUSM-W), the Great Plains Health Alliance, the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians, the Kansas chapter of the American College of Physicians, and 17 rural primary care practices. KSPRIN includes 31 physicians, 7 nurse practitioners, and 8 physician assistants. KSPRN established a website and an email address. Annual meetings are held in conjunction with the statewide Family Practice Conference. KSPRN has an Executive Committee to review investigations before dissemination to practices. KUSM-W faculty skilled in research methodology assist the KSPRN participating practices. Five studies currently are being conducted. The Primary Care Network Surveys (PRINS) were completed recently by more clinicians than projected in the original grant application. Since its inception, KSPRN has received eight external grants for infrastructure and projects.
