TRB Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2464 consists of papers that address a safety performance study of shared pedestrian and vehicle space; impacts of alternative yield sign placement on pedestrian safety; mitigation of pedestrian-vehicle conflicts at stop-controlled t-intersections; development of a low-cost methodology for evaluating pedestrian safety in support of complete streets policy implementation; walk ability indicators for pedestrian-friendly designs; driver approach speed and its impact on driver yielding to pedestrian behavior at unsignalized crosswalks; pedestrian protection airbags; driver and pedestrian behaviors at enhanced, multilane, midblock pedestrian crossings; and influences of light rail, built environment, and residential self-selection on pedestrian travel.
