Parameters for Modelling the Fate of Chemicals in the Environment;Doctoral thesis

摘要

The aim of this study was to provide a more adequate and reliable understanding of the fate of chemicals in the environment. In order to achieve this goal, chemical analyses and critical reviews were carried out with special reference to fugacity modeling and to the nature, properties and water solubility of pesticides, chemicals present in pulp mill effluents, crude oils and petroleum products. In this thesis the environmentally relevant physical-chemical properties of pesticides, chemicals present in pulp mill effluents, crude oils and refined products were critically reviewed, selected and analyzed. The properties that were selected and analyzed can be used in modeling the fate of chemical in the environment.
