Riparian Planting, for Fisheries Restoration, Project at Four Locations in the Middle Klamath Hydrologic Subbasin

The California Conservation Corps (CCC), Klamath Service District was funded in November 1997 by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Klamath River Basin Fisheries Task Force to implement riparian measures on Indian Creek, Clear Creek and Stanza Creek, all in the middle Klamath Subbasin. This restoration project, as well as past projects on these creeks, was implemented in order to reduce sedimentation and improve future large woody debris recruitment for development of pools, sorting of spawning gravels and instream cover for depressed populations of salmon and steelhead.
