The document contains a report on the activities of the Community Relations Service (CRS) of the U.S. Department of Justice for Fiscal Year 2000. This report is required by Section 100 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (P.L. 88-352) and by Reorganization Plan No. 1 of 1966, as revised by 28 C.F.R. 0.30(b). This report describes CRS's conflict resolution and violence prevention activities, so that Members of the Congress may assess its performance in executing its statutory mandate.
