Interracial Unmarried-Partner Households: How Do They Compare with Interracial Married-Couple Households in Census 2000

Interracial/ethnic couples were more frequently found among unmarried-partner couples (13 to 15 percent) than married couples (7 percent). Interracial couples were more common than mixed Hispanic origin (interethnic) couples, regardless of couple type. However, over 95 percent of all couples who reported that they were 'Some Other Race' reported that they were of Hispanic origin.
