Advanced Concept Concrete Using Basalt Fiber/BF Composite Rebar Reinforcement

This investigation was undertaken to evaluate the performance of concrete beams reinforced with the modified basalt fiber composite rebars. The following were the objectives of the research. To determine the ultimate failing load; To study the load-deflection behavior; To observe the bond strength; To measure the strain in the concrete; To measure the strain in the basalt rebar; To study the mode of the failure; and To compare the calculated and actual cracking and ultimate moments.
