Rebuilding Afghanistan's Agricultural Markets Program (RAMP): Assessment of RAMP Technology Diffusion Program

The success of RAMP is dependent upon getting farmers and other stakeholders adopting new practices. This Assessment paper looks at how RAMP can facilitate the diffusion of innovations to achieve the projects stated objectives in rebuilding Afghanistans agricultural sector. This Assessment will be implemented through or in association with job orders supporting the three technical components of RAMP agricultural technology and market development, rural financial services and rural infrastructure rehabilitation and the agricultural policy component. This paper will serve as a base for discussions with the RAMP team, USAID and job order partners on how best integrate the recommended communication support tasks in appropriate job orders.
