摘要

The primary goal of the overall project was to establish an on-going, self-sustaining partnership of physicians, major employers, health plans, and consumer groups to develop, publish and use individual physician performance information to drive quality improvements and promote the efficient delivery of care. This project is also specifically structured to insure that it has both visibility and impact, such that the measures developed will be applied nationally by health plans and public and private purchasers.
