摘要

Water resources have been identified as a high priority vital sign for the Upper Columbia Basin Network (UCBN). These resources are used by many riparian, migratory, and terrestrial organisms in the Network, and have intrinsic value as places of natural beauty and recreation (Garrett et al. 2007). Reflecting this priority, the Water Resources Division (WRD) of the NPS provides a separate source of funding each fiscal year to the UCBN to accomplish water quality monitoring. In June 2013 the UCBN began its second year of integrated water quality monitoring at John Day Fossil Beds National Monument (JODA).
