Experimental Harvest Regulation Evaluations Using Head Collection Methodology

A walleye Stizostedion vitreum head collection program was initiated on lakes Minnewaska and Pelican to determine the length and age distribution of angler-harvested walleyes for each lake. These data and results from the most recent lake survey for each lake were used to evaluate the potential effectiveness of various length-based harvest regulations (e.g., 14-, 15-, 16-, and 17-inch minimum length limits).
