What Works in Partnership Building for HMIS: A Guide for the Los Angeles/Orange County Collaborative

To inform its implementation of a countywide homeless information management system, the Los Angeles/Orange County (LA/OC) Collaborative is interested in identifying and understanding successful models for collaboration on information technology. This document presents descriptions of how other jurisdictions around the country have implemented an HMIS in their communities. The document highlights What Works in each community examples of decisions and practices that can help inform the LA-OC HMIS decision-making process. The LA/OC Collaborative is comprised of the Cities of Glendale, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Pasadena, Pomona and Santa Monica and Los Angeles and Orange counties.
