Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight. FY 2002 Performance Report

Fiscal Year 2002 marked another year of accomplishment for the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO). The agency is on track to achieve its long term goals. Two key indicators of OFHEO's mission were achieved in FY 2002. OFHEO classified Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as adequately capitalized during each quarter, and through our examination process, determined that each Enterprise exceeded safety and soundness standards. For the quarter ending September 30, 2002, the Risk-Based Capital Standard was fully enforceable for the first time in the Agency's history.
