The purpose of this project was to examine views about health services research and privacy/confidentiality of health data in Southwestern Hispanic/Latino and American Indian communities. Views about health research, views about processes for assuring privacy of personal health data, and harms from culturally unacceptable processes may differ in traditional cultural groups from those of the general population. This study was conducted in Hispanic and American Indian communities throughout New Mexico.
