Acquisition/Financial Systems Interface Requirements: Checklist for Reviewing Systems under the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act;Report to Congress

The Federal Financial Management Improvement Act of 1996 (FFMIA) requires, among other things, that agencies implement and maintain financial management systems that substantially comply with federal financial management systems requirements. These requirements are detailed in the Office of Management and Budgets (OMB) Circular No. A-127, Revised July 23, 1993, Financial Management Systems$ in OMB's Memorandum for Heads of Executive Departments and Establishments, Chief Financial Officers, and Inspectors General, January 4, 2001, Revised Implementation Guidance for the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act of 1996$ and in the Federal Financial Management System Requirements (FFMSR) series issued by the Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP). In support of FFMIA, JFMIP has published separate requirements documents for 13 different systems (including one for the interface between the acquisition system and the financial system) that might be found at federal agencies.
